Questions & answers

The details
make the difference.

Straightforward answers for a considered first project.

Do the covers include foam?

No. The proposed service is for sewn replacement covers only. Foam, furniture and local installation are not included. Serviceable inserts stay in the United States; replacements would be sourced locally by your project team.

How do I know whether the existing foam is suitable?

Have your on-site professional inspect support, shape, permanent collapse, crumbling, moisture and odour. An uncertain insert needs local assessment before new covers are specified. A photograph alone cannot confirm its condition.

Who measures, fits and installs the covers?

Your US project team is responsible for on-site inspection, measurement, fit-sample testing and installation. The planned China delivery team reviews the information and determines the agreed pattern and construction. Final responsibilities are recorded in each written project agreement.

Do I need to know the furniture brand?

A brand or model can provide context, but it does not replace insert measurements. Each insert may have worn differently. Send its construction, condition, individual dimensions and clear photographs.

Can I enquire about six covers or several patterns?

Yes, you can submit the project for review. Quantity, pattern count, materials and fixed development work all affect feasibility and a project quotation. No public minimum quantity or universal small-order acceptance is promised during the pilot.

Can a first project skip the fit sample?

The planned first-project process requires a fit sample in the proposed production material for each pattern and fabric combination. Remaining covers are not cut before the sample is tested on its corresponding insert and approved. Any future reuse of a pattern depends on valid records and unchanged conditions.

What is the difference between a fabric swatch and a fit sample?

A swatch helps assess colour, texture and hand. A fit sample is a complete sewn cover used on the actual insert. Production approval records the accepted drawing, material and sample result. These three steps serve different purposes.

When does the lead time begin?

Timing is agreed separately for development, sample shipping and remaining production after the necessary information, material availability, costs and approvals are confirmed. The pilot website does not offer a fixed delivery promise.

Why might a project involve two shipments?

A sample travels first for local fit approval; the remaining covers follow only after approval and a separate production decision. The written quote must identify sample freight, production freight and any additional sample or revision costs.

Who pays import costs and duties?

The written quote must identify shipping terms, the importer and responsibility for clearance, duties and taxes. Shipping and import costs are reviewed for the actual material, shipment and destination. No universal tax rate or duty-free allowance is assumed.

What happens if the fit or manufacturing is wrong?

The review compares the approved version, material, sample and original site information with the delivered cover. Wrong material, wrong pattern, manufacturing deviation and our own engineering errors require an agreed remedy. Measurement errors, changed inserts and later design changes are reviewed as changes, rather than being automatically assigned to one party.

Can I change the colour, cancel, or stop after sampling?

Before any paid work, the written sample or order agreement must state the change and cancellation points, committed costs, sample charges and any credits. A sample approval does not by itself require you to purchase the remainder. No cancellation fee is charged by submitting this interest form.
